Job Summary

The City of Porta Westfalica is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Treasury and Taxes to lead the relevant department. This full-time, permanent role involves high levels of responsibility, including the professional, organizational, and personnel leadership of the 'Budget Planning, Control, and Financial Accounting' section. Key responsibilities include leading grant funding management, handling budget and financial control (outcome and investment planning), overseeing municipal corporate holdings, and driving digitalization projects such as expanding reporting systems and implementing new software modules (e.g., TCMS). The ideal candidate requires a relevant administrative or economic degree/qualification, proven leadership skills (desirable), and experience in public finance and process optimization. This position requires strong communication skills, assertiveness, and a commitment to constructive teamwork.

Required Skills

Education

Completed Administrative Course II, or qualification for non-technical administrative service (Career Group 2.1 – Administrative, Business, or Financial Economist), or completed university of applied sciences degree (FH) in Business or Economics, or a comparable course of study.

Experience

  • Multi-year professional experience in the aforementioned areas (desirable)
