Job Summary
This role involves working as a Technician within the Lower Saxony State Agency for Water Management, Coastal Protection, and Nature Conservation (NLWKN), focusing specifically on groundwater systems in Verden. The primary objective is to enhance the density and quality of groundwater monitoring stations across Lower Saxony. Day-to-day tasks include independently planning and executing hydraulic testing and camera inspections, evaluating the suitability of existing monitoring points, and planning necessary maintenance and repair work. The technician will also manage the construction of new monitoring stations, including site selection, tendering processes, accompanying drilling and expansion, and final documentation. Key requirements include a completed technical education in water management, thorough knowledge of groundwater well construction and maintenance, and proficiency in Office products and databases. This position offers an interesting, varied, and independent role with flexible working hours and the option for home office after the initial training period.

Education
Completed technical training in a profession with water management relevance (e.g., Water Management, Water Construction, Water Supply, or Well Construction) or comparable qualification
Experience
- Thorough and versatile knowledge of the construction, operation, and maintenance of groundwater monitoring stations and water management
- Professional experience in conducting qualified groundwater sampling
- Experience in dealing with authorities and the public

- Valid Class B driving license; Willingness to undertake multi-day business trips throughout Lower Saxony; Flexibility in working hours due to the deployment area
