Job Summary

This role requires an experienced Automation and Electrical Engineer to manage the full lifecycle of automation solutions within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment. Key responsibilities include developing User Requirements Specifications (URS), participating in risk analyses (HAZOP), and overseeing the planning and implementation of automation facilities, spanning from Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to Site Acceptance Tests (SAT). The engineer will also be crucial in supporting equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), implementing and testing new production recipes, and performing necessary software modifications within production plants and the Environmental Monitoring System (EMS). The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering and possess extensive professional experience with process control systems (PCS), PLCs, and specific expertise in PCS7 (CFC/SFC) and Simatic Batch. Crucially, the role demands strong knowledge of GMP guidelines and requires participation in a 24/7 remote on-call rotation to support operations.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering (HTL, FH, or University level) or comparable technical field

Experience

  • Professional experience in project planning, programming, and commissioning of automation systems (PCS, PLC, and Visualization systems)
  • Experience in PCS7 programming (CFC and SFC)
  • Experience in Batch Engineering (Simatic Batch) for creating basic recipes and formulas
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical environment with GMP requirements
  • Experience in project management and leading interdisciplinary project teams
