Job Summary

This role is for a Planning Engineer specializing in 50Hz electrical power systems, working for DB Kommunikationstechnik GmbH, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, one of Germany's largest engineering firms. The engineer will be responsible for the planning, documentation, and consulting related to electrotechnical systems across planning phases 1-7, with a focus on draft and execution planning. Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed planning documents such as cable layout plans, wiring diagrams, and grounding plans, ensuring compliance with HOAI, BAU STE, and technical regulations. The position also involves quality assurance of 50 Hz planning, lightning protection, and surge protection installations, performing necessary calculations (cable and lighting), and providing expert technical advice to project teams and clients. This is a flexible role offering the ability to choose the work location within Germany (Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, or Saarbrücken) in consultation with management.
