Job Summary
This role is for an AI Consultant specializing in embedding Artificial Intelligence directly into critical industrial operational and production environments (Industrial AI). The consultant will collaborate on cross-functional projects, translating complex operational and business needs into scalable technical solutions, and developing advanced AI models for large-scale industrial data analysis (e.g., sensor data, machine logs). Key responsibilities include taking ownership of software components within integrated OT/IT environments, designing overall solution architectures, and communicating AI's impact to stakeholders ranging from plant operators to top management. Candidates must possess an excellent university degree in a relevant technical field, hands-on experience with IT-OT architectures, and profound knowledge of data science, machine learning, and cloud platforms like Azure and Snowflake. This position offers the chance to work on exciting challenges such as Predictive Maintenance, Digital Twins, and Process Optimization at customer sites, requiring project-related travel.
Required Skills
Education
Excellent university degree (Master/Diploma/PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields with a strong background in data science, machine learning, or data engineering.
Experience
- Relevant practical experience through at least two internships in a consultancy, industrial/tech company, or start-up
- Proven track record of excellence in consulting with data science, data engineering, cloud architecture, software engineering, or industrial AI
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying AI applications in operational or industrial environments
- Hands-on experience with AI applied to industrial data (time series, images, sensor data)
- Experience with IT/OT architectures and cloud-based AI solutions
- Knowledge of industrial standards (i.e. OPC-UA) and devices (a plus)
