This Senior Automation Engineer role is crucial for developing and continuously optimizing PLC software, serving both standard products and specialized solutions within manufacturing automation. You will be instrumental in making industrial processes safer, more efficient, and sustainable globally. Day-to-day tasks include active collaboration on the ongoing development, fine-tuning, and maintenance of PLC software, as well as designing and implementing new standards and developing interfaces for various connections. The ideal candidate brings several years of professional experience in electrical engineering, automation technology, or mechatronics, paired with solid expertise in Siemens TIA Portal or Beckhoff TwinCat 3. Knowledge of network technology, particularly MQTT, is highly valued.
