Job Summary

This role involves actively shaping biotechnological processes for the manufacturing of pharmaceutical active ingredients. The Fermentation Engineer will be responsible for executing fermentation processes using pro- and eukaryotic cells, including cultivation, virus propagation, harvesting, cell disruption, and purification. Day-to-day tasks include operating complex biotechnological systems, performing calibration and functional checks, and ensuring accurate measurement systems. A critical component is GMP-compliant documentation and meticulous protocolling of all process steps, ensuring adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Biotechnology, Food Technology, Brewing, or equivalent experience, possesses expertise in microbiological activities within a sterile environment, and has strong knowledge of fermentation technology. The position offers an attractive, permanent, full-time contract in Munich, contributing to innovative projects in the pharmaceutical industry.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Biotechnology, Food Technology, Brewing, or equivalent qualification as a Biology/Chemistry Laboratory Technician with relevant professional experience.
