Job Summary

This critical role involves the 24/7 supervision and operational control of the medium voltage grid for Hamburg's largest energy distribution network operator. The Electrical Engineering Technician is responsible for ensuring continuous supply and coordinating rapid restoration measures during disturbances. Day-to-day tasks include independently executing and authorizing switching operations, processing all disturbance reports from the supply area, and managing permissions. A key component is customer interaction, providing timely updates on ongoing fault resolution efforts and estimated restoration times, as well as offering technical consultation for equipment misdiagnosis. The ideal candidate must possess a completed technical education, advanced training in Electrical Engineering (Technician or Master Craftsman level), and the discipline and resilience required for continuous shift work. This position offers a stable career in the energy sector, but requires fluent German (C1 level) and a mandatory security clearance.
