Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position as an Environmental Technician supports the Lower Water and Soil Protection Authority in Dithmarschen, playing a crucial role in managing the environmental impact of regional industrial growth, particularly related to the energy transition and major renewable energy projects. The role involves critical regulatory work under water law (AwSV), including advising facility operators on the handling of water-hazardous substances, reviewing inspection reports, and monitoring compliance for storage and handling systems. Key responsibilities also extend to soil remediation, responding to accidents involving hazardous substances affecting soil and groundwater, and technical oversight of waste management, disposal, and recycling processes. Candidates must possess a formal qualification as an Environmental Technician or equivalent, coupled with strong German language proficiency (C1) and a Class B driving license.
