Job Summary
The Leibniz Institute for Analytical Sciences (ISAS) is seeking a Doctoral Researcher to join the Analysis of Microscopic Biomedical Images (AMBIOM) group in Dortmund. This role is crucial for the DFG-funded ComplexEye project, focusing on developing high-throughput single-cell analysis methods using array microscopy. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing novel Machine Learning algorithms, particularly for 2D time-lapse microscopy data, and integrating large Foundation Models into existing image analysis workflows. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, possesses strong knowledge of Machine Learning and Computer Vision, and is proficient in Python and Deep Learning frameworks like PyTorch. Required Skills
Education

Experience
- Comprehensive experience in Computer Vision or Image Analysis
- Experience with Foundation Models (Large Vision Models or multimodal Large Language Models)
- Experience in developing Open-Source Software (advantageous)
- Experience publishing results at high-ranking Computer Vision conferences or in journals
