Job Summary
This role involves cutting-edge research and development within the Visual Data Analysis group, focusing on the automated segmentation of three-dimensional (3D) image data of cellular and subcellular structures acquired through Cryo-Electron Tomography (Cryo-ET). The successful candidate will develop and implement methods utilizing artificial neural networks to address the significant challenge of segmenting these complex 3D datasets. This position offers the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with leading industrial and research partners in a future-oriented and responsible field. Key requirements include a Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field, coupled with strong practical experience in Deep Neural Networks, image processing, and programming proficiency in languages like Python or C++. The position is initially limited until December 31, 2026, and offers flexible working hours and competitive public sector compensation (TV-L E13).
