Job Summary

The Engineering Lead at Oviva will blend deep technical expertise with cross-functional leadership to design, develop, and continuously improve scalable, business-critical systems that drive clinical and operational excellence in digital healthcare. This role requires a seasoned engineer comfortable acting as a key technical partner across Engineering, Product, and Business Operations, translating complex business problems—such as global billing or scheduling—into elegant software solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading people management (mentoring, coaching, performance reviews) for a team of 5-6 engineers, owning system roadmaps and reliability, and driving engineering excellence through structured design practices and incident management. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in backend engineering and software architecture, specifically with Java/Kotlin, and broad technical versatility across data, cloud, and DevOps, enabling them to leverage technology (including ERP integrations, AI agents, or clinical software) to deliver measurable business value and transform healthcare outcomes.
