Job Summary
The Senate Department for Internal Affairs and Sport in Berlin is seeking highly motivated Administrative Trainees to join a comprehensive 24-month rotational program starting July 1, 2026. This role is designed for recent university graduates who hold a Bachelor's degree in administrative, social, political, legal, or economic sciences. Trainees will gain extensive insight into the Berlin administration, rotating through various departments including HR, budgeting, public relations, and central services across different Senate Administrations and District Offices. This position offers an opportunity to actively shape one of Europe's most vibrant metropolises, fostering skills in conceptual thinking, organization, and public service. Upon successful completion, trainees achieve eligibility for the higher non-technical administrative service (Laufbahngruppe 2, first entry level), leading to a permanent position as a Government Inspector (Regierungsinspektor) under probationary civil servant status. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in a field with predominantly administrative, social, political, legal, or economic science content.
Experience
- Completion of a 24-month structured trainee program (maximum duration)
- Professional experience gained through a rotational model across various administrative departments (e.g., HR, Budgeting, Public Relations)

- Clean police record (sauberes polizeiliches Führungszeugnis); Must not have reached the age of 47 upon completion of the trainee program (prerequisite for later civil servant status); Must provide translation of Bachelor's degree if acquired abroad.
