Job Summary

This role involves performing critical non-destructive materials testing (NDT), specifically using Penetrant Testing (PT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) methods, on vital engine components within the aviation industry. Day-to-day tasks include executing tests, meticulously documenting and interpreting the results, generating formal test reports, and ensuring the proper cleaning and preservation of components. The ideal candidate holds vocational training in materials testing or a metalworking trade, possesses a strong quality focus, and is prepared for shift and weekend work. While Level 2 certification in PT/MT (EN4179) is highly desirable, comprehensive training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for dedicated professionals to enter or advance within the safety-critical field of aerospace technology. Success in this position requires high reliability, strong teamwork skills, and good proficiency with MS Office.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training (Berufsausbildung) as a Materials Tester or in a metalworking profession. Qualification to Level 2 in PT and/or MT procedures according to EN4179 is desirable.

Experience

  • Completed vocational training as a Materials Tester or in a metalworking profession
  • Professional experience in documenting and interpreting test results
  • Experience performing cleaning and preservation tasks on engine components
