Job Summary
This crucial role involves the technical implementation, administration, and ongoing development of the Geoinformation System (specifically RIWA-GIS) within a modern public authority focused on district development. The coordinator will be responsible for creating and executing the overall GIS strategy, providing essential user support and training, and managing technical updates and release changes in coordination with IT. A significant part of the job includes conducting strategic evaluations and analyses to support key decision-making processes, independently planning GIS projects, and maintaining and updating geofactual data. Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelor's degree in fields such as Geoinformatics, Geodesy, or Civil Engineering, coupled with deep practical experience in GIS software, particularly RIWA-GIS. Required Skills
Education
Completed university of applied sciences degree (Fachhochschulstudium) or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Architecture, High/Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Geodesy/Surveying, Geoinformatics, Geography, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Deep knowledge and user experience in GIS programs, particularly RIWA-GIS
- Professional experience in creating and implementing GIS strategies
- Experience in coordinating technical updates and release changes with IT and users
- Experience in strategic data analysis to support organizational decision-making
- Experience in independent planning and execution of GIS projects
