Job Summary

As Department Head for the General Department within the Education, Sports, and Culture division, you will lead a team of five, overseeing personnel management, development, and budget responsibility. A key aspect of this role involves advising and supporting the divisional leadership in ensuring transparency across results, finances, processes, and strategy. You will be instrumental in the financial management of the department, including budget planning, advising other department heads on budget execution, and preparing annual and interim financial reports. The position also entails strategic and operational planning, optimizing business processes, and managing HR aspects like staffing plans. This is a unique opportunity to shape the department's future during a period of internal restructuring, requiring a proactive, solution-oriented approach and strong leadership skills within a public administration context.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in General Administration/Public Administration (Bachelor/Diploma) or completed advancement to career group 2, 1st entry-level position in General Administration or completed 2nd employee examination or completed legal or business administration degree (Bachelor) with several years of professional experience in municipal administration and knowledge of municipal budget law.
