Job Summary

This role is based within the regional service team focusing on Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and Production IT systems for the REWE Group in the Southern region. The IT Service and Support Engineer acts as the primary contact person for internal users, providing comprehensive 2nd level support for a wide range of IT systems, including PCs, notebooks, smartphones, telephony, hybrid meeting systems, and associated infrastructure (LAN/WLAN networks, server rooms, warehouse hardware). Key responsibilities involve troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving disturbances in collaboration with technical departments, and managing the procurement, delivery, and installation of new hardware (e.g., Windows 11/Office 365 systems). The position requires a high degree of customer orientation, fluent German and good English skills, and either a technical/commercial qualification or an IT-related degree. This is a crucial interface role that also involves participation in cross-functional IT projects and infrastructure renovation efforts, offering an opportunity to contribute significantly to the digital transformation of logistics operations.

Required Skills

Education

Commercial or technical vocational training, a degree in the IT field, or a comparable qualification

Experience

  • First experience in network administration
  • First experience in using ticketing systems
  • Professional experience supporting IT systems for end-users
  • Familiarity with logistical processes and associated hardware/software (ideally)
