Job Summary

This role involves combining PLC technology, automation, and project management to actively drive the development of the company's technical infrastructure and automated logistics systems. The engineer will be responsible for planning, controlling, and implementing modernization and automation projects from initial concept and business case through to successful commissioning. Key daily tasks include analyzing existing systems, identifying optimization potential (Industry 4.0, energy efficiency, digitalization), and collaborating closely with Supply Chain, IT, and external partners on logistics and material flow automation. A crucial element is the support and development of the automated high-bay warehouse, including interfacing with SAP Advanced embedded Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) and SAP Material Flow System (SAP MFS). Candidates should possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology, or an equivalent qualification, coupled with several years of experience in automation engineering and technical project management, specifically with PLC systems like Siemens S7 and TIA Portal.
