Job Summary
This role seeks an experienced Project Manager specializing in Product Safety to join a global technology leader in exhaust gas purification systems for the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries. The core responsibility is ensuring the availability and compliance of all safety-relevant product information for the company's innovative CLEANSORB-Technology®. Day-to-day tasks involve moderating and contributing to risk assessments according to DIN EN ISO 12100, evaluating equipment based on functional safety standards (DIN EN 61508, 61511, ATEX), and verifying control system suitability (DIN EN ISO 13849). The manager will continuously analyze relevant legal directives, such as the Low Voltage Directive, prepare technical reports on safety and explosion protection, and train internal staff and partners. A background in electrical engineering, deep knowledge of product safety regulations, and experience with relevant national and international standards are essential for success in this critical, permanent position based in Ismaning.
Required Skills
Education
Electrical Engineering qualification, preferably an Electrical Engineer degree.
Experience
- Professional experience in product safety and risk management within a chemical-technical environment
- Experience in applying relevant product safety regulations and procedures
- Experience handling and interpreting technical standards and directives
- Knowledge of Explosion Protection standards (desired)
- Familiarity with American standards (NEC, UL, NFPA) (advantageous)
