Job Summary

This role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant legal regulations concerning different waste types within the Bundeswehr's facilities. The Environmental Technologist will provide expert consultation to internal stakeholders on all aspects of waste management, contributing to the development of waste-related concepts, manuals, and disposal instructions (e.g., site disposal concepts and waste classification guides). A core responsibility is identifying, recording, and overseeing the safe handling and acceptance of hazardous waste. This position requires high mobility to regularly oversee various collection points for waste and small quantities of hazardous waste (SAKgA) across the Homberg (Efze) service center's jurisdiction, necessitating work at both Stadtallendorf and Rosbach v.d.Höhe-Köppern. The successful candidate must be willing to participate in continuous professional training and business trips, and must hold a relevant vocational qualification in environmental or chemical technology.
