Job Summary
This Postdoctoral Researcher role at the Leibniz Institute of Virology focuses on fundamental biomedical research, specifically investigating chromatin control mechanisms during chronic DNA virus infection, focusing on EBV and KSHV latency and tumorigenesis. The successful candidate will conduct and shape a core research project, performing advanced experimental laboratory work using cutting-edge techniques like scRNA-seq, ChIP-seq, and single-molecule live-cell imaging in complex cell systems, including primary B cells and lymphoid organoids. Day-to-day tasks involve rigorous primary data analysis, integrating results with existing scientific literature, presenting findings at national and international conferences, and drafting high-impact scientific manuscripts. Key requirements include a PhD in Life Sciences, solid experience in cell biology, and excellent written and oral English skills.
