Job Summary

This role involves crucial 24/7 operational oversight and incident management within the Central University Administration's Building Management department. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring building and supply technical functions using the Building Management System (BMS) and alarm systems, independently assessing and responding to fault reports and alarms, and ensuring the efficient operation of university facilities. Key duties include creating maintenance orders for technical departments, coordinating external contractors, and serving as the primary contact for all building technical functions. This position requires a certified Technician or Master Craftsman in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, technical expertise in Building Services Engineering (TGA), and proficiency in German (C1) and English (B2). The role demands participation in shift work (early, late, night, weekends, and holidays) and offers the opportunity for subsequent permanent employment after the initial fixed-term contract.

Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician or Master Craftsman in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field

Experience

  • Professional experience in a comparable position (desirable)
  • Technical expertise regarding components and functions of Building Services Engineering (TGA)
  • Understanding of system integration in building structures (advantageous)
