Job Summary

The State Laboratory Berlin-Brandenburg (LLBB) is seeking two dedicated Laboratory Assistants for full-time, permanent positions in Berlin-Adlershof. These roles are crucial for supporting public health, consumer protection, and environmental safety through precise laboratory work. Day-to-day responsibilities involve meticulous sample logistics, including acceptance, storage, and disposal of feed, fertilizer, and agricultural/food samples, adhering strictly to Quality Management (QM) guidelines. Key tasks also include the crushing and homogenization of various sample types, documentation in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and performing basic determinations like weighing and sieving. Candidates must demonstrate physical resilience, basic PC skills (Word/Excel), and a willingness to handle hazardous materials and follow strict hygiene protocols. This position requires high levels of precision, reliability, and excellent teamwork skills to ensure the integrity of critical public safety analyses.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in the laboratory sector (desirable)

Experience

  • Completed vocational training in the laboratory field is desirable
  • Several years of professional experience as a laboratory technician/assistant
  • Experience in following precise work instructions
  • Experience with physical demands (lifting up to 25 kg, standing for long periods)

Languages

German (Very good communication skills impliedtherefore Fluent)
