Job Summary

The City of Reinfeld (Holstein), a state-recognized resort town near Hamburg and Lübeck, is seeking a Head of Department 2 – Construction and Environment for a permanent, full-time position. This leadership role involves the comprehensive management of the Construction and Environment department, including personnel leadership and budget responsibility. Key responsibilities include overseeing the planning and execution of major municipal civil engineering and building construction projects, as well as managing urban development planning. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Public Administration or equivalent municipal administration qualifications, coupled with strong strategic thinking, organizational, and leadership skills. This position requires a highly responsible, decisive, and resilient personality capable of advising municipal committees and ensuring effective communication. Experience in project management for construction and planning is highly desirable.
