Job Summary

This role involves taking overall responsibility for the technical operations, maintenance, and upkeep of a luxury hotel environment, specifically The Ritz-Carlton in Wolfsburg. The Chief Engineer/Technical Director will provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the engineering team, including scheduling, performance reviews, and staff development. Key responsibilities include managing external service providers, specialized companies, and construction firms in technical and safety-related areas, as well as overseeing the hotel's Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), including investment and budget planning. The ideal candidate must possess a completed technical education or degree in building services or engineering, coupled with several years of professional experience in building services, ideally within the hospitality sector, and proven leadership skills. Strong German and good English language skills are essential for success in this demanding leadership position, ensuring compliance with all legal, safety, and quality standards.
