Job Summary
The Regional Energy Agency Waldeck-Frankenberg e. V. is seeking an Energy Efficiency Consultant to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in identifying and realizing energy savings and greenhouse gas reduction potentials. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting on-site initial and detailed energy consultations, analyzing energy consumption and company processes, and providing tailored recommendations and information on funding opportunities. A key part of the role involves extensive networking, organizing workshops, and building a regional energy efficiency and climate protection network. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar) and possesses proven professional experience in energy consulting for SMEs. This fixed-term position, initially running until September 2027 with the potential for permanent employment, offers flexible working hours, public sector benefits (TVöD EG 11 equivalent), and excellent opportunities for professional development in a vital climate protection field.
Required Skills
Education
University or Technical College Degree (Energy Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other natural science/technical field) OR State-recognized Technician or Master Craftsman qualification in corresponding fields. Completed training or further education as an Energy Consultant (Desired). Qualification as an Energy Efficiency Expert (DIN EN 16247 or DIN V 18599) (Desired).
Experience
- Professional experience in energy consulting for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
- Experience in production processes and building technology (Desired)
- Experience in developing and maintaining professional networks
