Job Summary

The Unstrut-Hainich District Office is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Department for Public Order. This critical leadership role involves the independent management and comprehensive oversight of several key services, including Construction and Environment, Road Traffic, Security, Order and Migration, and Veterinary and Food Monitoring. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical, organizational, and personnel leadership of the department, ensuring performance-oriented service delivery and efficient resource management. Key responsibilities include preparing and executing fundamental decisions, shaping organizational development, and representing the department in the District Council and to supervisory authorities. Candidates must possess a relevant university degree, extensive knowledge of German federal, state, and municipal law, proven project management skills, and demonstrated multi-year leadership experience, coupled with excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
