Job Summary
This role involves critical material management and classification responsibilities, ensuring compliance with legal and normative requirements (e.g., REACH, RoHS). The specialist will independently classify materials, assign customs tariff numbers (requiring personal certification), and manage GTIN/GS1 numbers. A core function is the evaluation, selection, and implementation of replacement materials for obsolete components within devices and systems, working closely with development departments to provide expert material-related advice. Day-to-day tasks include rigorous maintenance and quality assurance of material master data, processing quality reports, and assisting with cost estimations for development and modification processes. This position is ideal for candidates with an electrical engineering background (Technician/Master level or MINT degree) who possess initial professional experience, strong knowledge of electromechanical and electronic components, and familiarity with SAP systems, offering a challenging environment with high responsibility.
Required Skills
Education
Vocational training in Electrical Engineering (e.g., Information Electronics, System Electronics) complemented by further training as a Technician/Master, or a university degree in MINT or a similar engineering science.
