Job Summary
The Leibniz Institute for Educational Media | Georg Eckert Institute (GEI) in Braunschweig is seeking a dedicated HR Manager to lead and manage all aspects of human resources for the institute on a part-time basis (50% capacity). This role involves the technical leadership of a two-person HR team and close collaboration with the Administrative Management. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing personnel planning, recruitment, employee support, and HR controlling. A key focus will be expanding and optimizing HR processes, implementing personnel development measures, and advising the Directorate on labor law and personnel-related fundamental issues. The ideal candidate must possess a relevant degree (Administration, Law, or Business, preferably with an HR focus), profound knowledge of German labor and collective bargaining law (TV-L, WissZeitVG, etc.), and strong communication skills to drive the continuous improvement of HR work within this renowned research institution.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (B.A.) in Administration, Law, or Business Administration, preferably with a focus on Human Resources, or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in personnel management (Ideally in the public sector or a scientific institution)
- Experience in handling digital HR management systems
