Job Summary
This role supports the development and production of innovative, high-quality medical devices by focusing on the synthesis and analysis of resorbable polymers. The successful candidate will primarily execute synthesis steps for polymers on a technical scale (10–50 kg) within a cleanroom environment. Key daily tasks include operating distillation units for solvent reprocessing, assisting with production plant maintenance, and performing precise chemical analyses in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. Required laboratory techniques include NMR, DSC, GC, and viscosity measurements. A strong technical background and meticulous documentation skills, compliant with ISO 13485 standards, are essential. This position requires a professional with a chemical-technical qualification and offers an initial two-year fixed-term contract with the potential for permanent employment, providing thorough training and the chance to contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts.
Required Skills
Education
Chemical Technician qualification, Chemical Process Assistant certification, or comparable technical qualification (Plastics technology background is beneficial)
Experience
- Professional experience in chemical or chemical-technical roles
- Experience working with technical scale synthesis (10–50 kg) is implied
- Experience in laboratory testing and analysis
- Experience with meticulous documentation (ISO 13485 compliance)
- Experience or background in plastics technology (advantageous)
