Job Summary

This role is a critical position within the Diagnostic and Research Institute for Pathology, focusing on advanced Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis and interpretation, particularly related to solid and hematological neoplasms and molecular pathogen diagnostics. The Molecular Biologist will be responsible for NGS data analysis, variant annotation, interpretation, and visualization, while also performing technical quality assessment of sequencing results. A key component involves researching underlying mechanisms of genetic changes, preparing molecular pathology findings for diagnosis, and engaging in interdisciplinary discussions on complex findings. The successful candidate will also contribute to expanding and building the institute's internal, IT-supported NGS variant annotation pipeline and developing future automated reporting and data visualization systems. This position requires a strong academic background, including a PhD in Molecular Biology or a related field, and extensive practical experience in analyzing human genetic NGS data within a diagnostic or translational setting.
