Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the safety and compliance of pressure equipment and piping systems, primarily across Eastern Austria. The specialist will conduct acceptance tests at manufacturing sites, assess the integration of pressure devices into existing plants in coordination with plant safety teams, and monitor operational pressure equipment. Key responsibilities also include conducting damage analyses, evaluating repair proposals, and certifying welding personnel and procedures. Candidates must possess a university degree (TU, FH) or HTL qualification with relevant experience in metallurgy, materials testing, or mechanical engineering. Success in this position requires deep knowledge of materials science and welding processes (such as IWE/EWE certification), a high degree of reliability, autonomy, and strong customer interaction skills. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Technical University or University of Applied Sciences) or HTL (Higher Technical Education Institute) in Metallurgy, Materials Testing, or Mechanical Engineering

Experience

  • Relevant professional experience in metallurgy, materials testing, or mechanical engineering is advantageous
  • Professional experience in conducting acceptance tests and monitoring pressure devices
  • Experience as an Auditor is desirable

  • Willingness to travel for on-site inspections, primarily in Eastern Austria (Vienna area).
