Job Summary
This role involves acting as an IT Administrator with a strong focus on Digital Service Management within ver.di's federal administration in Berlin. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring stable, highly available, and secure online services by performing administrative work and coordinating external service providers. Day-to-day tasks include developing the strategy for operating services as containers, administering and configuring various organizational services, and coordinating development and operations both internally and with external partners. The position requires a balanced combination of technical expertise in IT infrastructure, particularly servers and online services, and strong coordination skills. This is a full-time, permanent position offering meaningful work in a secure environment, competitive compensation, 33 days of annual leave, and flexible working arrangements including mobile work options.
Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed vocational training or university degree in IT, or comparable professional experience
Experience
- Professional experience in IT administration or a comparable field
- Experience in operating various products (e.g., Podman, Drupal, KeyCloak, Elastic Search, Matomo) is advantageous
- Experience in project work and IT process flows
- Experience balancing technical competence and coordination of service providers
- Readiness to participate in on-call duty
