Job Summary

This key role in medical technology, based in Mannheim, involves actively shaping future production processes by developing cutting-edge AI/ML solutions. The Data Engineer will focus on designing and implementing state-of-the-art AI/ML models, such as Computer Vision and Predictive Maintenance, to optimize complex manufacturing operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing statistical and Big Data time series analyses on large datasets from pilot plants, independently planning and executing experiments (DoE), and leading technical sub-projects, managing resources, and coordinating external partners. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in a relevant technical field, possesses professional experience in process/product development, ideally within a regulated medical technology environment, and is proficient in Python, C++, and ML libraries like TensorFlow or Keras.
