Job Summary
This is a permanent leadership opportunity within the Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Transport, focusing on managing the Road Planning and Design section in Wolfenbüttel. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for complex planning projects, providing expert technical opinions, reviewing designs, and resolving difficult technical challenges related to road design preparation. A crucial part of the role involves representing the administration in challenging negotiations with external planning bodies and handling public objections during planning approval procedures. Key qualifications include a degree in Civil Engineering, extensive practical experience in road planning and design, deep knowledge of the HOAI (Fee Schedule for Architects and Engineers), and proven leadership and negotiation skills. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (FH Diploma or Bachelor) in Civil Engineering or comparable qualification; or qualification for the 1st entry-level of career group 2, Technical Services (for civil servants).
Experience
- Long-term practical experience in road planning, road design, and planning approval procedures
- Extensive practical experience in applying the HOAI (Fee Schedule for Architects and Engineers)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience (required for salary classification)
- Practical experience interacting with citizens and objectors in public events for complex measures
