Job Summary
This role is ideal for a dedicated Biologist to join an international research group focused on the molecular cell biology of the human pathogenic malaria parasite, Plasmodium falciparum. The primary objective is to investigate the epigenetic processes of histone methylation during gametocyte development in the parasite. Day-to-day tasks will involve advanced genetic engineering (Safety Level 2), recombinant DNA techniques, immunobiochemical methods, bioinformatics, cell culture, and microscopy. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Biosciences or a related field, strong foundational knowledge in cell and molecular biology, and biochemistry. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research aimed at identifying targets for malaria vaccines, offering a dynamic environment and the possibility of pursuing a PhD.
