Job Summary

The Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine is seeking a highly motivated Technical Assistant to join the international Functional Genetics department led by Prof. Dr. Rui Benedito. This role is crucial for supporting research focused on developing innovative gene technologies to understand cardiovascular biology and related disease processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing diverse cellular, biochemical, immunohistochemical, and molecular biological tasks, such as cloning and genotyping genetically modified mouse models. The assistant will also manage general laboratory organization, including procurement, equipment maintenance, protocol optimization, and detailed record-keeping. The ideal candidate holds a completed qualification as a Technical Assistant (BTA, MTA, CTA), possesses sufficient English proficiency for international collaboration, and demonstrates a precise, structured, and service-oriented work ethic.
