Job Summary
This role involves working as a Communications Engineering Specialist within the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), Germany's domestic intelligence service, focusing on operational deployment technology. The specialist will be responsible for strategic planning of new radio-based systems for operational use within mobile communication product management. Key tasks include continuous system development, analysis for potential malfunctions, coordinating operational processes, advising clients, and gathering requirements. Candidates must have a completed Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Communications, Electrical, or Information Technology, or relevant professional experience. Expertise in professional mobile radio (PMR) technology, particularly in technical conception and operation of mobile and digital radio systems, is essential. The position requires strong communication skills in both German and English, high responsibility, and a willingness to undertake multi-day business trips.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Communications Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Experience in professional radio technology (PMR)
- Experience in the technical and functional conception and operation of mobile and digital radio systems
- At least two years of relevant professional experience (if lacking the required degree)
