Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Electrical Engineer interested in advancing their career within the specialized field of crane technology. The core responsibilities involve the creation, maintenance, and documentation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for tower cranes. Daily tasks include analyzing technical requirements, developing conceptual designs and detailed specifications, and designing robust control cabinet solutions for the crane steering system. You will be crucial in performing rigorous system tests, supporting the validation of development results, conducting factory commissioning, and performing prototype tests on the designated test grounds. Furthermore, the role requires ensuring the smooth operational readiness of the machines and providing technical training to both internal staff and customer service personnel. Candidates must possess a completed technical qualification (e.g., Electrician, Electrical Designer) or a relevant engineering degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics). Initial professional experience in electrical design, particularly with EPLAN, is highly advantageous, alongside knowledge of TIA Portal and Teamcenter. Strong German and good English proficiency are mandatory for communication and documentation.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electrician, Electronics Technician, Electrical Designer, or a degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Vehicle Systems, Automation Technology, or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Initial experience in electrical design, preferably using EPLAN
  • Professional knowledge of control systems and automation (TIA Portal and Teamcenter beneficial)
  • Experience in conducting system tests, validation, and commissioning of machinery
