Job Summary

This is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and operational excellence of the IT department within a major waste management and resource recovery group in Cologne. The Head of IT will drive the future-oriented IT strategy, ensuring smooth daily operations across networks, systems, and applications, and maintaining high service quality. Key responsibilities include managing the Office IT infrastructure (Microsoft Office, SAP, networking, and end-device management), modernizing system landscapes, and implementing robust IT processes and security standards. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in Computer Science or a related field, coupled with several years of leadership experience, strong competencies in IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, and IT security, and excellent project and process management skills.
