Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity to join the State Office for Spatial Data and Geoinformation (LGB) in Potsdam, contributing to the future infrastructure for digitization in Brandenburg. The IT Administration Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of computing and network environments, including the installation, configuration, administration, and monitoring of central Windows and Linux systems, as well as storage systems. Key tasks involve 1st and 2nd-level support, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing IT security measures, and optimizing processes through the development of system-related software and routines. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, possesses strong knowledge of Windows and Linux administration, and is proficient in IT security principles. This position requires a high degree of independence, service orientation, and strong communication skills to consult with technical departments on IT usage.
