Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position seeks an engaged IT Infrastructure Specialist focusing on network management and security to join the IT team at Diakonie-Klinikum Stuttgart. The specialist will be crucial in planning, operating, and continuously developing the active network components, including switching, routing, VLAN, and WLAN environments. Key responsibilities involve the administration and configuration of Extreme Networks infrastructure, specifically utilizing Fabric Connect, XIQ, and ExtremeControl/NAC for access control and segmentation. The role requires close collaboration with the IT Security team to ensure compliance with stringent standards like BSI-Grundschutz, KRITIS, and NIS2 directives. Candidates must possess a completed IT education or degree, coupled with several years of practical experience managing complex LAN/WLAN infrastructures and deep knowledge of network security and segmentation concepts. The successful candidate will also provide 2nd/3rd-level support and participate in an on-call rotation to ensure system availability.
