Job Summary

This critical leadership role involves heading the Application Services team within a newly established central IT service provider for universities in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany. The Head of Application Services will be responsible for defining the team's vision, setting annual goals and KPIs, and managing resources and budgets. Day-to-day activities include overseeing 2nd and 3rd-level support for central university applications (e.g., Campus Management, LMS), ensuring high availability and performance, and driving continuous improvement in CI/CD and release management processes. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills, expertise in ITIL and DevOps methodologies, and experience with public cloud environments.
