Job Summary
This role as an Administrative Officer in Third-Party Funding Management at Leibniz University Hannover involves the critical financial and legal oversight of research projects funded by external sources (approx. €170 million annually). Day-to-day responsibilities include the rigorous budgetary and tax law review of contracts, including those in English, application documents, and final usage proofs. The specialist will manage the administrative control and monitoring of these projects, acting as the key liaison between funding bodies and scientific researchers while providing expert advice on grant and budgetary law. The ideal candidate must possess a relevant degree in Public Administration or Economics, coupled with strong organizational skills, high resilience, and proficiency in MS Office and SAP ERP modules (PSM and FM). Required Skills
Education
Successful completion of Administrative Course II (Verwaltungslehrgang II) or a degree as Certified Public Administrator (FH), Certified Administrative Business Economist (FH), or a comparable Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or Economics.
Experience
- Professional experience in financial administration or grant management within a public or scientific institution
- Knowledge of budgetary, grant, and tax law relevant to public funding
- Experience utilizing SAP ERP modules, specifically PSM and FM, for financial management and project monitoring
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, efficiently, and in a structured manner within a service-oriented team environment
