Job Summary

This PhD Candidate role offers an exciting opportunity to conduct advanced experimental research focusing on the fundamental properties of water and aqueous solutions using state-of-the-art Laser and X-ray spectroscopy techniques. The successful candidate will be deeply involved in hands-on laboratory work, potentially including complex setups like liquid jet experiments in a vacuum environment and utilizing large-scale facilities for X-ray diffraction. A significant part of the job involves the analysis and interpretation of large-scale experimental data. This position is highly interdisciplinary, requiring strong curiosity and excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively within diverse scientific groups. Essential qualifications include a Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Nanoscience, or a related field, coupled with demonstrated experimental proficiency and very good English language skills (CEFR B2/C1 equivalent) for scientific communication.
