Job Summary

This role involves leading the 'Physicochemical Properties' team at a leading global CRO specializing in biopharmaceutical and cell/gene therapy development. The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for both disciplinary and technical leadership, including personnel management, resource development, and expanding the team's methodological portfolio to enhance efficiency and profitability. A core function is the planning, management, and execution of complex client projects as a Study Lead, ensuring adherence to budget, quality, and timelines, often involving direct international client communication. Furthermore, the manager oversees critical GMP-compliant activities such as release testing, method validation/transfer, and equipment qualification, along with supporting business development through proposal creation and product cost estimation. This position, initially a 2-year parental leave replacement, requires strong bioanalytical expertise, leadership skills, and fluency in both German and English.
