Job Summary
This role is for a qualified Food Chemist at LUFA Nord-West, an accredited service laboratory and part of the Chamber of Agriculture of Lower Saxony, located in Oldenburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for the food law assessment of labeling and analysis results, including the preparation of expert opinions and reports. A key component of the role involves customer support for manufacturers and trade clients regarding food law compliance, and cross-departmental collaboration with chemical and microbiological laboratory teams. The position also requires supporting laboratory management in chemical and instrumental analysis. Candidates must hold a degree in (Food) Chemistry, preferably as a State Certified Food Chemist, and possess strong analytical skills, food law expertise, and proficiency in relevant IT systems, including LIMS.

Degree in (Food) Chemistry, preferably State Certified Food Chemist (staatlich geprüfte/r Lebensmittelchemiker/in), or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in the food law assessment of labeling and analysis results (if not a State Certified Food Chemist)
- Experience in the organization of laboratory processes (advantageous)

- Fixed-term contract (1 year) as parental leave cover; Minimum 25 hours per week (part-time or full-time); Start date March 1, 2026, or soonest possible date; Must meet requirements for salary group 13 of the TV-L (Public Service Collective Agreement for the States).
