Job Summary
This is a multifaceted role based in Wismar, focusing on maintaining and optimizing the IT infrastructure for the city's senior care homes. The successful candidate will manage the entire lifecycle of hardware and software, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal, while ensuring robust data protection and security measures are in place. Daily tasks involve user and rights management, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with an external IT firm. A key component of the job is project coordination, including conducting tenders, product selection, and contributing to the overall IT strategy and concept development. The role also requires managing the organization's online presence, including updating the website and developing social media channels. This is a part-time, permanent position (30-35 hours/week) offering competitive public sector compensation (TVöD-B VKA Ost) and excellent benefits.
Required Skills
Education
Required: University degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Computer Science, IT Security, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another technical/engineering field with an IT focus; OR a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, IT Systems Management Assistant, or comparable professional qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT inventory and hardware/software maintenance
- Experience with user and rights management
- Experience in IT project work and conducting tenders
- Knowledge and experience in telecommunications law, data protection law, and general contract law (beneficial)
