Job Summary
This role is a permanent, full-time position within the Civil Engineering Office of the City of Fulda, focused on supporting vital infrastructure and digitalization efforts. The core responsibilities include active participation in the “HessenNext – Digital Impulses for Smart Municipalities” project, specifically assisting with the planning, construction, and maintenance of modern traffic control systems (traffic lights), street lighting, dynamic passenger information displays, and public electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Day-to-day work involves coordinating with external engineering firms and service providers, managing contracts related to lighting operations, and overseeing technical acceptance procedures. Candidates must possess a Master Craftsman or State-Certified Technician degree in Electrical Engineering and demonstrate a keen interest in digital, sensor-based systems and networked technical infrastructures. This position offers the opportunity to integrate project-acquired knowledge into long-term municipal operations, contributing directly to the city's digital future.
