This role involves working as a Scientific Researcher within the Forensic Chemistry section of the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (BLKA) in Munich. The core responsibilities include conducting forensic examinations in the field of chemistry, specifically material analysis, often involving crime scene processing. The researcher will be expected to independently prepare expert opinions and defend them in court. Key qualifications include a Master's degree or equivalent, successful completion of a PhD in Chemistry or Materials Science, and practical experience with modern instrumental analysis techniques such as Infrared Spectrometry, Raman Spectrometry, and (Pyrolysis-)GC/MS. Required Skills

Education

  • Desirable: Prior experience in forensic chemistry
